These are a few of my favorite things...

For one of my Parsons classes we were asked to bring in 3 pictures of things we love: a space, a thing, and anything. I thought it was a fun exercise and wanted to share my picks. 

SPACE

This home was featured in the February issue of Architectural Digest. The home resides in what was a former power plant in Sausalito. I love the exposed brick, loft-feel, i-beams and ceilings that go on forever.

THING

This Curry & Co. chandelier was in the May issue of Elle Decor. I love how delicate it is, yet in such a strong color! Plus, I'm anxiously awaiting the day I can hang a chandelier in my apt/home. 

ANYTHING

I had a tie between 2 Elle Decor featured spaces. One I had already posted so I chose to share this room, designed by Nate Berkus. First of all, I dream about being able to arrange art the way he has- so effortlessly, yet so planned. Secondly, I love the color and texture used in the room - especially the lacquer walls. How cute is that round table in the corner with the gold accent? I would love to curl up on the chair next to it and read for hours. I am also pretty sure that I need those multi purpose tables he has used together as a coffee table. Overall, love!

            

Karl Lagerfeld for Coca Cola

Love the advertising campaign Karl Lagerfeld designed for Coca-Cola. Quite the departure, but think that the black, white, and pink is refreshing...just like the beverage itself! You can buy your very own bottle featuring Karl's silhouette and a pink cap at the esteemed Parisian boutique, Colette. For the big spenders there is a limited edition box-set that includes 1 bottle of Coca-Cola Light and a bottle opener. Personally, I'll stick to enjoying the ad...

T.G.I.F. - Enjoy your weekends!

  The East coast is a flutter this weekend as people flock to DC for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. You don't have to go to DC though to catch a glimpse.  The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens hold their own when it comes to cherry trees and as an added bonus they update a map on their website so you can see when peak bloom is happening.

Home Invasion: Venice, CA

I constantly find myself admiring homes from the sidewalk and wishing I could take a peek inside. All you lucky LA residents now have the chance. The AIA (American Institute of Architects) is holding it's annual Spring walking tour in Venice on April 11th. The tour is self-guided, so all you have to do is purchase a ticket, pick-up your map and be on your way. A sneak peek of one house you will see, aptly named "The Floating Bungalow," is below:
