Just Because: Juliska "Bamboo" Dinnerware

I love the playfulness of the bamboo dinnerware line by Juliska. It is perfect for every day, but would also look great mixed and matched with some of your finer china for a more formal dinner party.

Weekly TENS: 11.5.10

Weekly TENS: A compilation of my favorite posts and finds of the week!
This has been an insane week from work and class to fighting off a cold and hosting a dinner party all while trying to catch up on some much needed sleep. As a result my poor little blog has been majorly neglected!! I promise to be better next week and hope you enjoy a recap of all the posts I sadly missed this week as well...Have a great weekend!

One of my favorite designers Madeline Weinrib was interviewed for Lonny Mag's blog. I absolutely adore her ikat throw pillows, sumptuous silks and of course her beautiful carpets (a personal fave is above, black and white = so chic!).

I will be testing out this hair "how-to" this weekend. A side-chignon will definitely outdo my boring ponytail! Plus how great is her hair color?? I may need to punch mine up a bit!

14 bathrooms that made me swoon...and then realize how blah mine was...a girl can dream!

You can always count on A Lovely Being to post beautiful, off the beaten path images of interesting and historical figures. JFK with "John John" and Caroline in the Oval Office on Halloween was one of her best!

I saw a couple bloggers post on clothing designer Emerson Made this week and can see why - her clothes are feminine, practical and sure to up everyone's "fabulous" factor! Plus, they have great giveaways - don't miss out! (A few of my fave looks are above)

Everything truly is going digital - artist David Hockney is currently showing a series of i-paintings (painted solely on his iPad and iPhone) at The Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.  Maybe my "masterpieces" have a shot of being shown some day too!

This post was actually from last week, but I forgot to share it and it needs to be shared. BEST Anniversary gift EVER!!! Take note boys...

Yes, I would love an apartment with a fireplace so I can cuddle up and wish the winter blues away....but the reason I am sharing this post is because check out the photo of that too-precious for words tyke (and the Hermés tray, swoon!)!

Inspiration: Vogue

I absolutely love this look from the November issue of Vogue. I don't know if it is the soothing neutral colors or the preppy oxfords paired with day-glo type bangles and hoop earrings, but I need to replicate this! Lanvin is not exactly wallet friendly so I found a few other options that are much more accessible!
P.S.: Don't you just love the model's hair!! She is like a current day Shirley Temple!

The skirt: two great options from Zara...
This skirt even has the same bow detailing and allows your shoes to share in the spotlight.
Comfy, flowy and still chic...
