Jibe-ho!

I may not be a big sailor (yet!), but with their suntanned bodies and windblown locks what's not to love about a skipper?? Best of all, they have some seriously cool style that continues to infiltrate the mainstream fashion set (case in point - metallic sperry topsiders)...

First stop - or should I say port - is 44 knots. A California company who loves recycling and fashion and has great products to show for it. They recycle old vintage sails into what is sure to be your new favorite tote bag. So not only are the bags uber chic, they are also ready to stand up to the elements. They're available in 3 sizes and a variety of nautical designs. Check them out here and below.

Set yourself apart from the sea of boat shoes out there with a pair of SeaVees... not a "revival" as they like to say of the brand that launched in 1964, but a "rehabilitation." Whatever it is, they are doing something right. I love the simplicity of the styles, the color options and sporty feel. To find a retailer nearest you, click here.

I couldn't resist adding in a little fashion piece to top it all off - may not be the most practical for a day out at sea, but you'll look great!

Fair winds!

  1. Sea Bags from Maine are really great as well for bags made of recycled sails - http://www.seabags.com/ The people at that company are very nice.
