Fabulous Mess

Fabulous Mess is an Etsy store that must be added to your favorites. A "shop of vintage goodies" - it is chock full of Hollywood Regency and midcentury modern delights and interesting finds that are truly unique and stunning.

Drooling over this red and gold Dorothy Draper cabinet...

Such fun pineapple detailing on this bistro table...

A sucker for all faux bamboo I think I may just need to snap up this planter!

Silver leaf and antique mirrored nightstands...

Fabulous Mess is fabulousness!

From Me to You...

NYC is blanketed once again in snow and what better time could there be then to get to work on my New Year's Resolution and start sending out some handwritten notes! I was beyond excited to receive my new stationery in the mail last week from Fancy Shmancy Notes. They truly exceeded my expectations...

Pick your font, colors, paper type and design and you are on your way to a new stack of personalized note cards!

Put Your Stamp on it!

One of my New Year's resolutions was to send more handwritten notes (aka a great way to feed my stationary obsession). One key component of this new hobby is a custom return address label. I am loving all of the calligraphy stamps below - I may not be a calligrapher, but no one needs to know that!

All Jarred Up!

I saw these deliciously jarred up pies on A Cup of Jo and had to share - I wish I wasn't done with my holiday shopping because these would have definitely been arriving on the doorsteps of friends and family! "All Jarred Up" offers a variety of scrumptious pies and treats all jarred up in a lovely little mason jar. With names like "Peared Together", "No One Passes on Our Molasses", and "I Go Bananas Over You" what's not to love!

New Crush: Leigh Viner

I was reading the fabulous, new anniversary issue of LonnyMag (more to come on that) and fell in love with a photography print by jkldesign by Leigh Viner on Etsy. I ended buying the print below - the girl on the beach with the volleyball and big hat was just too "me" to pass up!

There are a ton of amazing pieces and with most at $28 it is a must to snap up a few while you can!

If I had a huge walk-in closet, this would definitely be framed as the centerpiece!
Be sure to check out her blog as well, it is a new daily go-to of mine! http://jkldesign.blogspot.com/

Print overload...

After a week in LA and visits to fabric outlets and home decor stores I am seeing prints everywhere...

When I popped into the Jonathan Adler I fell in love at first sight with the Aegean Sea print - it looks great on their x bench and would look even better in my apartment!

I was very excited for my first trip into Hollywood at Home and felt right home in their cozy interiors. They have some great finds and a fabulous array of fabrics. My favorite piece was this super funky chair.  It would be a great addition to a sun porch and the perfect place to plop down for a cocktail as the sun sets.

My shower curtain is begging to be retired, but I hadn't seen anything that excited me enough to take it's place until I stumbled into Roberta Roller Rabbit. One of their fun and bright prints is exactly what my tiny bathroom needs to liven it up. I'm leaning towards one of the large poppies...

I have been on the hunt for new throw pillows and saw some great ikat and suzani fabrics, but couldn't make up my mind in time to pull the trigger. Luckily, Etsy has a great selection of throw pillows at great prices!

Mr. Ed becomes a trend...

I did not grow up riding horses. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have ever been on a horse. I avoid the carriage-heavy areas at Central Park because quite honestly the horses reek and yet I am one hundred percent in love with the horse photography out there today. Bizarre? Probably. Stunning? Absolutely!

Call me.

Gone are the days of writing your number down on a cocktail napkin or plugging a number into your phone only to forget about it the next day. Custom calling cards are popping up all over the place and perfect for anyone looking to make a lasting impression. Give them something to remember you by!

Why beat around the bush - when you can just cut to the chase. (*Notice the fine print on the bottom of the card!)

May I have your number?
