Yes, I would love an apartment with a fireplace so I can cuddle up and wish the winter blues away....but the reason I am sharing this post is because check out the photo of that too-precious for words tyke (and the Hermés tray, swoon!)!

Inspiration: Vogue

I absolutely love this look from the November issue of Vogue. I don't know if it is the soothing neutral colors or the preppy oxfords paired with day-glo type bangles and hoop earrings, but I need to replicate this! Lanvin is not exactly wallet friendly so I found a few other options that are much more accessible!
P.S.: Don't you just love the model's hair!! She is like a current day Shirley Temple!

The skirt: two great options from Zara...
This skirt even has the same bow detailing and allows your shoes to share in the spotlight.
Comfy, flowy and still chic...

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Video Series: #2

In the second installation of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Video Series we get a closer look at 5 of the competitors in their current workspaces. They are a truly eclectic and dedicated group - from designing eyewear in a small NYC studio apartment to collecting snails as inspiration, this is a great peek into the world of an up and coming designer. I did not know much about womenswear designer Gregory Parkinson before, but after seeing some of his pieces in this video he may just have my vote!

Suno!

I posted on relatively new Kenyan-American label Suno New York awhile ago when Michelle Williams was looking extremely precious in one of their insanely cute dresses. This weekend I spotted a few must-have pieces from their current line. Unfortunately, it seems so has everyone else as most stores in NYC are sold out of my size! Check them out at a Barney's near you or online at Opening Ceremony. Their prints can be a little much for the average citizen, but in small doses they will look great!

I need this skirt! It will look equally great with tights and boots in the winter as it will with a light tee and wedges come summer...
I am bummed that this was the only image I could find of this soft and swingy blazer as it seriously does not do it justice, but it is gorgeously embellished over a light blue/grey and white print.

This Ikat top can spice up any pair of jeans! I would definitely not pair it with that plaid skirt though - again, sorry for these tough images!

I love this dress from their Resort line that Rachel Bilson wore to a Fashion Night Out event...

Opening Ceremony also carries pieces from their collaboration with one of my favorite jewelry lines, Lizzie Fortunato Jewels

For Suno's Spring runway show they teamed with Loeffler Randall to create 4 styles in their favorite prints. Again, these are not for the shy at heart but for those risk takers out there you can order these online at Opening Ceremony as well!

Paint like Pollock

I am having way too much fun with the new "Jackson Pollock" iPhone application. It is the perfect distraction while waiting for an appointment, riding on the subway, or when you are just in need of a break. Pick your colors and tap away! Available on iTunes.

Take Me To the Redbury!

I am loving the decor of the new Hollywood hotel, The Redbury. Located on the iconic intersection of Hollywood & Vine, the hotel is a little rock and roll, a little boho-chic and super eclectic. From vintage rugs, to English flea market finds and tons of ethnic prints, there is no shortage of color or texture.

Catering to long-term stays, all 57 rooms are outfitted with a kitchenette and a washer & dryer - truly a home away from home...

Staying true to their rock & roll vibe, each room also has a vintage record player and vintage rock & roll posters lining the walls...

The hotel restaurant, Cleo, serves up classic "mezze" fare - think flatbreads, kebabs and tagine. Hotel guests can also order from fellow SBE owned restaurant, Katsuya if they are more in the mood for sushi.
Cleo seems to be a more toned down version of the hotel, but still maintains a vintage/funky feel.

For LA residents, the outdoor terrace on the 2nd floor looks like the perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail or a girls night out. According to the website, the terrace will remain "unpretentious" and there will be no velvet rope or guest list type attitude...which would be a nice addition to the Hollywood scene.

I admit it, I am a Gossip Girl fan - the clothes are just TOO good...plus, this is really more about Terry Richardson (maybe??!)

One of my daily blog reads, Elements of Style, posted on her need to clean her closet and linked to a post The Glamourai had recently done that showed her insanely efficient wardrobe. I will definitely be purchasing those shoe racks and "handbag dividers" asap!!

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Video Series: #1

Vogue launched a video series to provide readers with a sneak peek into the series of challenges the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists must go thru before a winner is picked. The first video in the series chronicles challenge #1 - where the finalists present 5 looks to the esteemed panel of judges. Being in a room with Anna Wintour, DVF, and Jenna Lyons and not freaking out seems like a major feat unto itself!

Lonny Mag: The Anniversary Issue

LonnyMag just celebrated their one year anniversary and they did not disappoint with the most recent issue. As one of the most inspirational issues I can remember it was bursting at the seams with content: gift guides, designer homes, to die for travel destinations and much more. They revamped the format for this issue and I am loving their new virtual platform. You can click on items that interest you without leaving the LonnyMag site. I even purchased a piece and was led right back to where I had left off - reading made easy!

I will definitely be installing this hook system in my next closet - a great way to organize your handbags and keep them accessible. A must for all the handbag junkies out there!

I found this blue to be so soothing and fresh - when I finally move to a building that lets me paint, I think I have found the winning color...

By simply sending his own floral design to HP, John Loecke Inc. was able to create a custom wallpaper for his Weeds inspired living room in the Showtime House.

Have a wallpaper design of your own in mind? You will soon be able to submit art online to HP and count the days until your wallpaper arrives in the mail!

Turkey is on the brain now after this great DIY Thanksgiving tablescape.

Now that I have been back from Italy for a couple weeks I am ready to dream about my next big trip and Lonny answered my call: Capri!

Capri has always been on my dream list of vacation spots and I now officially have a hotel added to my imaginary itinerary: J.K. Place. As Lonny puts it "a villa balanced on the cliffs overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea." Yes, please!

The views are breathtaking...and the interiors are not too shabby either...

Perfect spot for a refreshing glass of prosecco...

Back to reality (again)...

Curl up with your laptop or iPad and check out the latest issue of Lonny - it is delectable!
