Style Icon: Linda Fargo

The New York Times wrote an article yesterday on the talented window dressing team at Bergdorf Goodman which includes style maven and BG VP Linda Fargo. Easily recognizable by her striking silver bob, she is always impeccably dressed and proves that you can still dress fiercely after 50!

Loving leopard...

Rocking the Aviators and chic neutrals.

Chic, chic, chic!

Twist on the classic pants-suit...love the shorts suit and black/white!

You can check out the New York Times article and more on Bergdorf's windows here. The countdown to Holiday Windows is on!

Rag & Bone - Resort 2011

Rag & Bone continues to impress. After an amazing response to their Fall collection, they showed that they're not slowing down with their Resort preview. David Neville, one half of the R&B design duo, told Style.com that this collection "isn't about dressing for St. Bart's. It's more of a cool, urban look."  Translation: they're designing for the real world because when it comes down to it how many of us are heading to St. Bart's for a couple months come Resort timing?

Some great R&B pieces that are available in-stores now and a few of my picks to last you year-round. This military jacket can be paired with almost anything and army green is a great, versatile color that can toughen up any look. The silk sheath dress is a must-have basic and I'm a sucker for all outfits that start with shorts. Hit up R&B next time you want to up your cool factor!

A day without shoes - TOMS

Yesterday TOMS shoes asked everyone to go a day, a minute, an hour without shoes. TOMS has always been a company I love and find very inspiring. Founder, Blake Mycoskie, started TOMS after seeing children walking barefoot on the streets of Argentina amongst glass and garbage. He wanted to do more than just donate money and TOMS (Tomorrow's Shoes) was born. When you purchase a pair of TOMS a pair is also donated to a child in need. TOMS caught on as a fashion piece among celebrities without the company even gifting them (a real rarity!) and retailers followed. To date they have given away over 400,000 pairs of shoes in the 4 years since their launch.

Please view the video below highlighting their "one day without shoes" initiative and think about purchasing a pair of TOMS the next time you are in the market for shoes. At a $45 price point with a built in "feel good" factor, it's pretty hard to ignore. Plus, if stores like Bergdorf Goodman are working on exclusive designs for their stores they must be fashionable!
